The Paperback you don’t know about

I’ve been lying to you. I wasn’t as idle as I’ve made it believe in my blog from 5th of October. This is what I made.

Back in July, I received an email from a lovely reader from Romania (country where I live) asking if “Shinigami” was available in any of the Romanian libraries.

The shipping costs from Amazon to Romania are expensive, and not many can afford to sustain them, hence a local library is preferred to Amazon. This nudged me to create a “Takamagahara Monogatari” paperback that contains Kogitsune, Shinigami and Kokaji. I ordered 30 copies to Romania and sold them myself to the readers.

I also curated in August a “Takamagahara Monogatari” book box for the Romania-based readers, containing many goodies, like the Inari-sama metallic bookmark, Kogitsune’s mask bracelet, incense sticks or Japanese sakura tea.

Slowly my books have found a Romanian public.

I haven’t opened the book box to readers outside Romania yet because of the huge shipping costs. The book box costs US $35/ €35. The shipping costs may be up to $50 / €50, depending where you live. Makes no sense.

However, if you are interested in a “Takamagahara Monogatari” book box, you can order one by sending me an email at xiaxialake@gmail.com and we can explore the shipping costs to your country together.

With love,

Xia

P.S.1. Next week’s post (26th of October) will contain a draft version of the prologue for “Fields of Higanbana” (the “Shinigami” sequel). Follow my blog if you don’t want to miss it.

P.S.2. The “Takamagahara Monogatari” paperback can be ordered from Amazon. You will not find it by searching via the Amazon search bar, nor on Goodreads. Here is the link to the book.

P.S.3 By Christmas I hope we can have the “Takamagahara Monogatari” Italian paperback ready as well.
